Momentum in single-trace $T$$\overline{T}$ holography
We continue our exploration of the holographic duality between string theory in backgrounds that interpolate between asymptotically linear dilaton spacetime in the UV and AdS 3 in the IR, and the corresponding boundary theories. In previous papers, [1], [2], we showed that states in the bulk theory that are described by non-trivial asymptotically linear dilaton geometries, such as black holes and deformed global AdS 3 , can be described in the boundary theory by a single-trace $T$$\overline{T}$ deformation of a symmetric product theory. In those papers, we restricted to states with vanishing (angular) momentum; in this paper, we extend the analysis to states with arbitrary momentum, and show that the picture presented in the earlier papers generalizes to this case.

1/Q 2 power corrections to TMD factorization for Drell-Yan hadronic tensor
I calculate $\frac{1}{Q^2}$ power corrections to unpolarized Drell-Yan hadronic tensor for electromagnetic (EM) current at large N c and demonstrate the EM gauge invariance at this level.
A new-old approach to composite scalars with chiral fermion constituents
We develop a dynamical, Lorentz invariant theory of composite scalars in configuration space consisting of chiral fermions, interacting by the perturbative exchange of a massive “gluon” of coupling g 0 and mass M 0 2 (the coloron model). The formalism is inspired by, but goes beyond, old ideas of Yukawa and the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model. It yields a non-pointlike internal wave-function of the bound state, ϕ ( r ) , which satisfies a Schrödinger-Klein-Gordon (SKG) equation with eigenvalue μ 2 . For super-critical coupling, g 0 2 > g 0 c 2 , we have μ 2 < 0 leading to spontaneous symmetry breaking. The binding of chiral fermions is semiclassical, not loop-level as in NJL. The mass scale is determined by the interaction as in NJL. We mainly focus on the short-distance, large M 0 2 limit, yielding an NJL pointlike interaction, but the bound state internal wave-function, ϕ ( r → ) , remains spatially extended and dilutes ϕ ( 0 ) . This leads to power-law suppression of the induced Yukawa and quartic couplings and requires radically less fine-tuning of a hierarchy than does the NJL model. We include a discussion of loop corrections of the theory. A realistic top condensation model appears possible.

What is the Hierarchy Problem?
Is there a Hierarchy Problem? If so, what, exactly, is the problem? Almost every theorist has a personal answer to these questions. In this article, I give my answer. I will explain that the Hierarchy Problem is not a formal problem but rather our ignorance of a crucial physics explanation – the explanation of the nature of the Higgs boson. Without the solution to this problem, we cannot make progress on the major questions of our field.
Variable rate neural compression for sparse detector data
Particle colliders produce data at extraordinary rates, posing major challenges for transmission and storage. High-throughput compression algorithms are therefore essential. In the sPHENIX experiment taking data at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, a time projection chamber records three-dimensional (3D) particle trajectories that are highly sparse, making conventional learning-free lossy compression ineffective. Convolutional neural networks have surpassed traditional methods in compression ratio and accuracy. However, they fail to exploit sparsity for efficiency. To address these gaps, we present BCAE-VS, a bicephalous convolutional autoencoder with variable compression ratio for sparse data, which adapts compression to input complexity through key-point identification and sparse convolution. BCAE-VS achieves higher accuracy and compression ratios than prior neural approaches while being orders of magnitude smaller. Moreover, its throughput increases with sparsity—a property not observed in other methods. Although it was developed for collider experiments, BCAE-VS readily extends to other sparse data domains, such as light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensing and 3D microscopy.
Electron-positron pair creation in the electric fields generated by micro-bubble implosions
Here, we show that electron-positron pair production from the vacuum is possible via the strong Coulomb fields generated by micro-bubble implosions induced by ultra-high intensity lasers. Even in the case where the Coulomb fields are lower than the pair creation threshold, externally injected high energy electrons or photons could be used to generate pairs.
