pnnl/OpenCGRA

OpenCGRA is an open-source framework for modeling, testing, and evaluating CGRAs. The first open-source integrated framework able to support the full top-to-bottom design flow for specializing and implementing CGRAs: modeling at different abstraction levels (functional level, cycle level, register-transfer level) with compiler support, verification at different granularities (unit testing, integration testing, property-based testing), simulation, generation of synthesizable Verilog, and characterization (area, power, and timing).

Grid Optimization (GO) Competition Platform

A software for a multi-challenge power-flow grid optimization competition was developed. The platform brings together high performance computing clusters, webservers, databases, competition datasets, schedulers, evaluation codes, and a multitude of language compilers and optimization solvers to host the competition. The original video announcing the competition, from former Secretary Perry, at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZwX3P9vS8M

MUPPET: An automated OpenMP mutation testing framework for performance optimization

MUPPET is a tool for OpenMP programs that identifies program modifications, called mutations, aimed at improving program performance. Existing performance optimization techniques, including profiling-based and auto-tuning techniques, fail to indicate program modifications at the source level thus preventing their portability across compilers. MUPPET aims to help HPC developers reason about performance defects and missed opportunities to improve performance at the source code level.

AEGIS (Air Emissions Grouped by Industrial Sectors) [SWR-24-49]

AEGIS is a robust framework designed to build and compile emissions inventories for various industrial sectors. It integrates multiple emissions databases provided by the USEPA – including GHGRP, NEI, and TRI – and leverages the STEWI and STEWICOMBO tools to retrieve, merge, and process data. The framework produces facility- and process-level inventories, identifies discrepancies (e.g., NAICS or FRS mismatches), and performs exploratory analysis including emission concentration calculations and visualization.

KLOKKOS: Automated test generation for performance-portable programs

SAND2024-13830O The KLOKKOS project provides a suite of test generation and validation tools to increase maintainability and portability of Kokkos programs. KLOKKOS, a portmanteau of Klee and Kokkos, is developing an automated test generation for performance-portable programs using Clang/low-level virtual machine (LLVM) and formal methods. KLOKKOS is based on several topics in computer science: the development of symbolic and concolic analysis of LLVM and C++ codes, formal semantics and type theory, C++ templates and language features, LLVM compiler infrastructure, and data parallel primitives. Efficient Xml Interchange (exi) For Python (expy)

EXPy provides a native Python interface into the LF Energy EVerest V2G protocol stack. The protocol stack is implemented in C/C++ and compiled into shared object libraries. EXPy provides the Python Ctypes translation of the C/C++ libraries for use with pure Python software. This project eliminates the need for integrating Python with third-party communications applications and greatly reduces the code base and improves performance. The other major benefit is the ability for EXPy to support new EXI based protocols as additional V2G standards are produced (e.g. upgrade from ISO 15118-2 to ISO 15118-20).

fortfmt-fix

SF-25-126 **fortfmt‑fix** is a small, deterministic codemod that rewrites these descriptors to explicit, standard‑conforming forms (e.g., `I12`, `F25.16`), enabling clean builds on modern compilers without vendor‑specific options. The tool is designed to be idempotent and conservative, preserving semantics while reducing maintenance burden in research codebases.
