A method of coupling a CAD/CAM system with a general purpose finite element mesh generator is described. The three computer programs which make up the interactive finite element graphics system are discussed.
The aerodynamic characteristics which affect the fuel consumption of general aviation aircraft are outlined. All data are presented in the form of graphs.
The general area of stochastic networks is discussed with emphasis on the graphical evaluation and review techniques (GERT). This is a procedure which combines the disciplines of flowgraph theory moment generating functions, and PERT to obtain the solution to stochastic problems.

The effects of the Spacelab environment on the circadian rhythms in microorganisms are investigated. Neurospora is chosen because of its well characterized circadian rhythm of growth. Growth rate, banding patterns, and circadian period and phase information are studied.
A preliminary attempt to categorize and order the observed facts regarding motion sickness into a rational structure is discussed. An array of key facts, as assembled from the recent literature, consisting of a collection of motion space sickness observations which should be accounted for in the comprehensive model are given. A model structure which is responsive to the array of key facts, as well as to the other requirements of a working research tool (modularity, ease of use, conciseness, etc.) is also suggested.
An interconnected system of computer programs for analyzing the propagation and attenuation of sound in aeroengine ducts containing realistic compressible subsonic mean flows, ADAM was developed primarily for research directed towards the reduction of noise emitted from turbofan aircraft engines. The two basic components are a streamtube curvature program for determination of the mean flow, and a finite element code for solution of the acoustic propagation problem. The system, which has been specifically tailored for ease of use, is presently installed at NASA Langley Reseach Center on a Control Data Cyber 175 Computer under the NOS Operating system employing a Tektronix terminal for interactive graphics. The scope and organization of the ADAM system is described. A users guide, examples of input data, and results for selected cases are included.
