Some of the dominant species are Lysiloma divaricatum, Ipomoea arborescens, Acacia cochliacantha, Haematoxylum brasiletto, and Celtis reticulata. The mean basal area at the study site is 14.83 ± 3.3m2 ha-1, and the aboveground biomass is estimated to be 43.20±9.5Mgha-1. These values and the high counts of Acacia cochliacantha indicate that the area is a secondary forest with significant management activities in the past.
