Complete genome of Pseudomonas putida strain WBB028 isolated from leaf litter

We report the complete genome of Pseudomonas putida strain WBB028, which exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal activity. This strain was isolated from leaf litter collected at Walker Branch Watershed located on the Oak Ridge Reservation in eastern Tennessee (35.9614 N 84.2864 W). The genome is 6.3 Mbp with a 62.5% GC content.

Genome-Resolved Metagenomics of a Photosynthetic Bioreactor Performing Biological Nutrient Removal

Enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) is an economically and environmentally significant wastewater treatment process for removing excess phosphorus by harnessing the metabolic physiologies of enriched microbial communities. We present a genome-resolved metagenomic data set consisting of 86 metagenome-assembled genome sequences from a photosynthetically operated lab-scale bioreactor simulating EBPR.

Metagenome-Assembled Genomes from a Microbiome Grown in Dairy Manure Hydrolysate

Anaerobic microbiomes can be used to recover the chemical energy in agroindustrial and municipal wastes as useful products. Here, we report a total of 109 draft metagenome-assembled genomes from a bioreactor-fed carbohydrate-rich dairy manure hydrolysate. Studying these genomes will aid us in deciphering the metabolic networks in anaerobic microbiomes.

Genome Sequences of Frankineae sp. Strain MT45 and Jatrophihabitans sp. Strain GAS493, Two Actinobacteria Isolated from Forest Soil

Frankiaceae are bacterial endosymbionts that are also found free-living in soil. Here, we present the genome sequences of two novel bacterial members of the order Frankiales , class Actinobacteria , isolated from temperate terrestrial forest soils. The genomes for MT45 and GAS493 indicate a genetic capacity for carbohydrate degradation but not nitrogen fixation.

Draft Genome Sequence of Scheffersomyces spartinae ARV011, a Marine Yeast Isolate

We report the draft genome sequence of Scheffersomyces spartinae ARV011, which was isolated from the Great Sippewissett Marsh in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Sequencing was performed using the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform, yielding 7,598,030 read pairs 250 bp in length. This resulted in a total draft genome size of 12,132,557 bp.

Draft Genome Sequence of Pseudenhygromyxa sp. Strain WMMC2535, a Marine Ascidian-Associated Bacterium

Pseudenhygromyxa WMMC2535, a representative of the myxobacteria (family Nannocystaceae ), was isolated from a ragged sea hare in the Florida Keys, and its genome was sequenced using PacBio technology. The WMMC2535 genome sequence is the first of this genus and validates the notion that myxobacteria represent outstanding sources of structurally diverse natural products.

Friend or Foe: Draft Genome Sequence of Bradyrhizobium sp. Strain SRS-191

We report the genomic features of Bradyrhizobium sp. strain SRS-191, which was isolated from a former nuclear legacy site in Aiken, South Carolina, USA. With a genome size of 7,621,400 bp, the strain harbored genes not only for environmentally beneficial traits (e.g., heavy metal resistance, nitrogen fixation, and aromatic biodegradation) but also for antimicrobial resistance.

High-Quality Draft Genome Sequence of Fischerella thermalis JSC-11, a Siderophilic Cyanobacterium with Bioremediation Potential

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the siderophilic cyanobacterium Fischerella thermalis JSC-11, which was isolated from an iron-depositing hot spring. JSC-11 has bioremediation potential because it is capable of both extracellular absorption and intracellular mineralization of colloidal iron. This genomic information will facilitate the exploration of JSC-11 for bioremediation.
