This presentation on industrial clean energy accompanied a panel discussion at the JISEA Annual Meeting 2021.
This presentation on energy, climate and air pollution accompanied a panel discussion at the JISEA Annual Meeting 2021.
This keynote presentation on energy equity was part of the JISEA Annual Meeting 2021.
From November 15-19, 2021, CSEWG held its annual meeting during Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Nuclear Data Week(s)1. The combined event was held via zoom (due to COVID travel restrictions) and there were 175 registered attendees. This was CSEWG’s 3rd fully virtual meeting and, by all accounts, it was a success. The timetable and talks are available at https://indico.bnl.gov/event/13121/overview for registered participants. This meeting began with the welcoming of the new ENDF Library Manager, Gustavo Nobre, the announcement that ENDF/B-VIII.1’s release will be delayed until February 2024 due to COVID induced delays, and the adoption of a draft Code of Conduct. This last point is notable since CSEWG is known for its lively physics and engineering discussions. However, as professionals, we must endeavor to keep our discussions civil, collegial, and inclusive.

FY 2021 Annual Report including major accomplishments, utilization and user institution statistics, and project summary reports for FY-21.
Advanced computing at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) had an exciting 2021. More than 300 projects advanced the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) mission. This annual report highlights capabilities, project highlights, innovations, etc. to showcase the great work conducted within Advanced Computing at NREL.
The 2022 JISEA Annual Report describes accomplishments from the past year at the Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis, which is accelerating the transformation of the global energy economy. 2021 was filled collaboration and high-impact multidisciplinary projects, exploring everything from the energy-water-food nexus, to the cobalt supply chain, to sustainable communities. This year also welcomed the JISEA Catalyzers Initiative that is accelerating research capabilities at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The Catalyzers are empowering communities and research partners to by bringing together experts working within one space to discuss capabilities and future needs to continue to stay ahead of the research curve.
Presentation on clean energy for oil and gas topic discussion table at the 2022 JISEA annual meeting. Many refineries may have wind and solar resources and clean energy technology costs are declining. JISEA created an oil and gas consortium including Baker Hughes, Conoco Phillips, Extraction Oil & Gas, INGAA Foundation, and Kinder Morgan to explore potential pathways for integrating clean energy into oil and gas operations. This presentation goes over JISEA case studies that demonstrate reliable and affordable clean power for oil and gas operations. JISEA used the REopt Energy Planning Platform and evaluated several potential future scenarios.
Annual report for work completed during FY-21 for the Nuclear Science User Facilities
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL's) Environmental Performance Report provides a description of the laboratory's environmental management activities in 2021, including information on environmental and sustainability performance, environmental compliance activities and status, and environmental protection programs, highlights, and successes. The purpose of this report is to ensure that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the public receive timely, accurate information about events that have positively affected or could adversely affect the health and safety of the public or workers, the environment, or the operations of DOE facilities. This report meets the DOE requirements of the Annual Site Environmental Report (ASER) and has been prepared in accordance with DOE Order 231.1B Chg 1, Environment, Safety and Health Reporting.
Annual report submitted to DOE/HQ
The 2023 JISEA Annual Report describes accomplishments from the past year at the Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis, which is powering the transformation of the global energy economy. 2022 was filled with high-impact work in supply chain analysis, industrial decarbonization, sustainable communities, and more. This year, JISEA also launched the Green Computing Catalyzer and welcomed the American-Made program to the center.
This document summarizes peer review comments and scores for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hydrogen Program 2022 Annual Merit Review and Peer Evaluation Meeting (AMR), held virtually June 6-8, 2022. The report also provides a brief overview of the Program, highlights key accomplishments since the previous AMR (held in June 2021), and summarizes activities and accomplishments within each Program office. Five Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office subprogram chapters provide summaries of key activities and accomplishments since the preceding AMR, summaries of projects presented orally during this year's AMR, and a summary of peer reviewer comments on the subprogram.
ASER stands for the Annual Site Environmental Report and is the primary document that the U.S. Department of Energy uses to inform the public of environmental performance and conditions at SRS. • ASERs are required by U.S. Department of Energy to provide the public and stakeholders information on: – Environmental program performance – Site wide environmental monitoring and surveillance effectiveness – Compliance status with environmental standards and requirements • SRS published its first ASER in 1959
