AmeriFlux FLUXNET-1F US-xSJ NEON San Joaquin Experimental Range (SJER)

This is the AmeriFlux Management Project (AMP) created FLUXNET-1F version of the carbon flux data for the site US-xSJ NEON San Joaquin Experimental Range (SJER). This is the FLUXNET version of the carbon flux data for the site US-xSJ NEON San Joaquin Experimental Range (SJER) produced by applying the standard ONEFlux (1F) software. Site Description - Located at The San Joaquin Experimental Range, in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada, this 18.2 kilometer terrestrial field site is a mix of open woodlands, shrubs and grasslands with low density cattle grazing. SJER is an ecosystem research experimental area. It was originally conceived as a cooperative interdisciplinary research center to identify cost-effect methods of commercial livestock production in the annual grass-oak pine woodlands, while maintaining the integrity of the ecosystem. More recently, research objectives have expanded and diversified to include research projects making contributions to our knowledge of the patterns and processes working in this ecosystem.

AmeriFlux AR-Rom Romano Mar Chiquita BA

This is the AmeriFlux version of the carbon flux data for the site AR-Rom Romano Mar Chiquita BA. Site Description - The site was at Mar Chiquita coastal lagoon, located in the southeast of Buenos Aires province, Argentina, in an agricultural establishment (“Antonio Romano S. A.”), whose main activity was cattle production. A flux tower was settled within the raised high marsh approximately 6 km from the sea and 2 km from a lagoon. The water body showed two hydrographic areas with marine and inland influence regulated by the sea tides and rainfall respectively. There were sandy dunes occupied by open vegetation composed of grasses and herb species. Physiognomy surrounding the measurement site was the characteristic evergreen grassy landscape with an average canopy height of 0.7 m and little phenological variation throughout the year.

AmeriFlux FLUXNET-1F US-Cst Crossett Experimental Forest

This is the AmeriFlux Management Project (AMP) created FLUXNET-1F version of the carbon flux data for the site US-Cst Crossett Experimental Forest. This is the FLUXNET version of the carbon flux data for the site US-Cst Crossett Experimental Forest produced by applying the standard ONEFlux (1F) software. Site Description - The study takes place in the Crossett Experimental Forest (CEF, 32°2′ N, 91°57′ W), which was established in 1934 with the objective of developing effective management protocols for loblolly and shortleaf pine forests in the Gulf Coastal Plain. Mean annual temperature and precipitation are 17.6 °C and 1,410 mm, respectively. Most of the soils on and near the CEF are silt loams (primarily Glossaquic Fragiudalfs). The tower is situated in the the old-growth pine management sector of the CEF, which emphasizes management for old-growth-like conditions, with the goal of emulating the structural and compositional attributes of historic forests from this region using a combination of timber harvesting, prescribed fire, and other tools. This includes periodic commercial logging of intermediate-sized loblolly pines to support further restoration treatments, such as prescribed fire, hardwood and exotic species competition control, and the increase of plant species more compatible with fire (e.g., shortleaf pine and understory grasses)
