Positional and color magnitude data for the 537 named stars, are given. A brief translation of the star names and their source language is also presented.
A representative sample of lunar rilles observed on Lunar Orbiter 4 and 5 photographs is presented. A method of classification of rilles is described which will provide a means of quantitatively grouping rilles of similar planemetric shape. The method is based on a finite Fourier approximation of the edge of the rille. It provides an adequate approximation to all planemetric characteristics of the rille except rille recurvature.
Complete data documentation for Nimbus 4 from 1 March through 30 April 1971 is presented. Summaries of individual experiments are included along with montages of the image dissector, and temperature-humidity infrared radiometer.
A collection of data relating to the Mariner 9 TV picture is presented. The data are arranged to offer speedy identification of what took place during entire science cycles, on individual revolutions, and during individual science links or sequences. Summary tables present the nominal design for each of the major picture-taking cycles, along with the sequences actually taken on each revolution. These tables permit identification at a glance, all TV sequences and the corresponding individual pictures for the first 262 revolutions (primary mission). A list of TV pictures, categorized according to their latitude and longitude, is also provided. Orthographic and/or mercator plots for all pictures, along with pertinent numerical data for their center points are presented. Other tables and plots of interest are also included. This document is based upon data contained in the Supplementary Experiment Data Record (SEDR) files as of 21 August 1972.
Documentation of data acquired from the Nimbus 4 Meteorological Satellite for the period from 23 May to 30 June 1970 is provided. Included are the types of data available, anomalies in the data, geographic location, and time notations.
Nimbus 4 satellite data for the period September 1 through October 31 1970 are presented. Data are also given on interrogation recording and location system balloon tracking from launch through March 27, 1971.
Documentation of data acquired from the Nimbus 4 Meteorological Satellite for the period from 1 January to 28 February 1971 is provided. Included are the types of data available, anomalies in the data, geographic location, and time notations.
Data from various instruments onboard the Nimbus 4 are presented, including the image dissector camera system, the temperature-humidity infrared radiometer, infrared interferometer spectrometer, and monitor of ultraviolet solar energy experiments. This data was collected from 1 May 1971 to 30 Apr. 1972. Orbital elements and daily sensor data are presented in tabular form.
Documentation of meteorological and geomorphological data acquired from the Nimbus 2 meteorological satellite is provided. The observation period extends from 1 October through 15 November 1966. In addition, supplemental and amended data for previous volumes are included.
Experimental and theoretical investigations were carried out to determine the feasibility of using a small scale fissioning uranium plasma as the power source in a driver reactor. The driver system is a light water cooled and moderated reactor of the MTR type. The eight experiments and proposed configurations for the reactor are outlined.
