Saloon

Saloon is a Vim plugin that simplifies Python code linter / fixer configuration and usage. Saloon's menu lets developers toggle which static analysis tools to use and delegates those changes to ALE's (Asynchronous Lint Engine) API. Since prospector (python linter aggregate) already handles multiple tools, and is integrated with ALE, most of the actual linting will initially be handled via prospector calls.

XPlacer/Tracer

XPlacer/Tracer is a dynamic analysis tool that finds bad memory access patterns in heterogeneous codes. XPlacer/Tracer consists of two components. (1) A configurable ROSE plugin for source code instrumentation of heterogeneous code written in the C/C++ and CUDA programming languages. (2) A sample configuration that instruments memory accesses to dynamic memory in CPU and GPU codes, and a runtime library that tracks these memory accesses at runtime. The collected information is reported in form of a textual summary or as memory map that can be converted to images.

ResStock™ v3.2.0 [SWR-19-15 and SWR-20-07]

The ResStock™ analysis tool was built on NREL's OpenStudio® platform, and is a project geared at modeling existing residential building stocks at national, regional, or local scales with a high-degree of granularity (e.g., one physics-based simulation model for every 200 dwelling units), using the EnergyPlus® simulation engine. Information about ComStock™, a sister tool for modeling the commercial building stock, can be found here: https://www.nrel.gov/buildings/comstock.html This repository contains: Housing characteristics of the U.S. residential building stock, in the form of conditional probability distributions stored as tab-separated value (.tsv) files. Comments at the bottom of each file document data sources and assumptions for each. A library of housing characteristic "options" that translate high-level characteristic parameters into arguments for OpenStudio measures, and which are referenced by the housing characteristic .tsv files and building energy upgrades defined in project definition files Project definition files: v2.3.0 and later: buildstockbatch YML files openable in any text editor v2.2.5 and prior: Project folder openable in PAT Unit-level OpenStudio Measures for automatically constructing OpenStudio Models of each representative dwelling unit model: v3.0.0 and later: OpenStudio-HPXML Measures v2.5.0 and prior: OpenStudio Measures Higher-level OpenStudio Measures for controlling simulation inputs and outputs This repository does not contain software for running ResStock simulations, which can be found as follows: Versions 2.3.0 and later only support the use of buildstockbatch for deploying simulations on high-performance or cloud computing. Version 2.3.0 also removed separate projects for single-family detached and multifamily buildings, in lieu of a combined project_national representing the U.S. residential building stock. See the changelog for more details. Versions 2.2.5 and prior support the use of the publicly available OpenStudio-PAT software as an interface for deploying simulations on cloud computing. Read the documentation for v2.2.5.

pnnl/SOSAT

State of Stress Analysis Tool (for carbon sequestration). The SOSAT tool provides value during GCS site screening and characterization phases to target collection of specific additional data to constrain uncertainties in geomechanical risk and to help operators to make informed decisions during the operational phase (Appriou et al., 2019). The capability represented in SOSAT, therefore, helps build stakeholder confidence that geomechanical risks are understood and manageable

AI Design Assistant

SAND2025-01930O The AI Design Assistant uses ChatGPT to provide a natural language interface to airfoil analysis tools (XFOIL). Most of the code base is glue code, connecting XFOIL (a tool for analyzing airfoils) to the OpenAI interface. Among the more novel features are an airfoil geometry class and methods on how to extract detailed data from XFOIL. Sandia National Laboratories is a multimission laboratory managed and operated by National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell International Inc., for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration under contract DE-NA0003525.

OptiMX

OptiMX is a GUI-oriented program with principal aim to be an easy to use, yet comprehensive, interactive accelerator optics design and analysis tool. It was originally developed starting in the 1990s as an MS Windows centric application using the commercial Borland OWL framework. In the spring of 2014, a decision was made to port OptiM to Qt, a modern, portable and open framework. As much as possible, the original interface was preserved. While a significant amount of refactoring was required, the underlying physics has been for the most, left unchanged. The custom plots of the original application have been replaced with functional equivalents based on a stable and well-established library (qwt). With very few minor exceptions the new refactored OptiMX should be a drop-in replacement for the original OWL version.

Consist v0.1.0

A Python library for provenance tracking, intelligent caching, and data virtualization in scientific simulation workflows. It automatically records code, configuration, and input data to skip redundant computations and enables querying results across many runs without manual bookkeeping. Designed to support multi-model simulation workflows like the BEAM CORE toolset at LBL, but designed to be extensible to a wide range of research workflows. Combines lineage tracking features as provided by OpenLineage with deterministic hashing like SnakeMake, and adds powerful analysis tools on model outputs.

WFSUITE: A PYTHON SOFTWARE SUITE FOR X-RAY WAVEFRONT SENDING AND AT-WAVELENGTH METROLOGY

SF-26-025 WFSuite is a graphical and command-line toolkit for coded-mask-based X-ray wavefront sensing and phase reconstruction at synchrotron beamlines. It integrates analysis tools for both relative and absolute speckle-based measurements. In the relative metrology module, WFSuite implements Wavelet-transform-based X-ray Speckle Tracking (WXST) and Wavelet-transform-based Speckle Vector Tracking (WSVT) methods to retrieve differential phase and wavefront distortions by comparing speckle patterns recorded with and without the test sample. In the absolute phase module, WFSuite uses coded-mask speckle patterns and replaces the measured reference with a numerically simulated one, enablingsingle-shot wavefront reconstruction using either WXST or a neural-network-based method (SPINNet).
