Materials Data on Ti2ZnO4 by Materials Project

ZnTi2O4 is Spinel-like structured and crystallizes in the monoclinic Cm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are twelve inequivalent Ti3+ sites. In the first Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form TiO6 octahedra that share corners with three TiO4 tetrahedra, corners with three ZnO4 tetrahedra, edges with two equivalent ZnO6 octahedra, and edges with four TiO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Ti–O bond distances ranging from 2.04–2.12 Å. In the second Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form TiO6 octahedra that share corners with three equivalent TiO4 tetrahedra, corners with three equivalent ZnO4 tetrahedra, edges with two ZnO6 octahedra, and edges with four TiO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Ti–O bond distances ranging from 2.06–2.15 Å. In the third Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form TiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with six TiO6 octahedra and corners with six ZnO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 49–59°. There is three shorter (1.90 Å) and one longer (1.93 Å) Ti–O bond length. In the fourth Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form TiO6 octahedra that share corners with two equivalent ZnO4 tetrahedra, corners with four TiO4 tetrahedra, edges with three TiO6 octahedra, and edges with three ZnO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Ti–O bond distances ranging from 1.98–2.18 Å. In the fifth Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form TiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three ZnO6 octahedra and corners with nine TiO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 50–60°. There is one shorter (1.87 Å) and three longer (1.89 Å) Ti–O bond length. In the sixth Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form TiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with six TiO6 octahedra and corners with six ZnO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 54–58°. There are a spread of Ti–O bond distances ranging from 1.88–1.90 Å. In the seventh Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form TiO6 octahedra that share corners with six TiO4 tetrahedra, edges with two equivalent TiO6 octahedra, and edges with four ZnO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Ti–O bond distances ranging from 2.07–2.17 Å. In the eighth Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form TiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with six TiO6 octahedra and corners with six ZnO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 51–60°. There is two shorter (1.89 Å) and two longer (1.91 Å) Ti–O bond length. In the ninth Ti3+ site, Ti3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form TiO6 octahedra that share a cornercorner with one ZnO4 tetrahedra, corners with five TiO4 tetrahedra, edges with three TiO6 octahedra, and edges with three ZnO6 octahedra. Materials Data on TiZnO3 by Materials Project

ZnTiO3 is (Cubic) Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ti4+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form TiO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent TiO6 octahedra and faces with eight equivalent ZnO12 cuboctahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Ti–O bond lengths are 1.92 Å. Zn2+ is bonded to twelve equivalent O2- atoms to form ZnO12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent ZnO12 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent ZnO12 cuboctahedra, and faces with eight equivalent TiO6 octahedra. All Zn–O bond lengths are 2.72 Å. O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two equivalent Ti4+ and four equivalent Zn2+ atoms.

Materials Data on TiZnO3 by Materials Project

ZnTiO3 is Calcite structured and crystallizes in the trigonal R3c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ti4+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form distorted corner-sharing TiO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 41°. There are three shorter (1.87 Å) and three longer (2.16 Å) Ti–O bond lengths. Zn2+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent O2- atoms. There are three shorter (2.03 Å) and three longer (2.28 Å) Zn–O bond lengths. O2- is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to two equivalent Ti4+ and two equivalent Zn2+ atoms.

Zn2TiO4 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4_322 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ti4+ is bonded in a distorted tetrahedral geometry to four O2- atoms. In the second Zn2+ site, Zn2+ is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four O2- atoms. There are two shorter (1.99 Å) and two longer (2.27 Å) Zn–O bond lengths. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to one Ti4+ and two Zn2+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Ti4+ and two Zn2+ atoms.
