Two 8 bit successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designs and a 12 bit current mode incremental sigma delta ADC have been designed, fabricated, and tested. The successive approximation test chip designs are compatible with active pixel sensor (APS) column parallel architectures with a 20.4 ??itch in a 1.2 ??-well CMOS process and a 40 ??itch in a 2 ??-well CMOS process. The successive approximation designs consume as little as 49 ??t a 500 KHz conversion rate meeting the low power requirements inherent in column parallel architectures. The current mode incremental sigma-delta ADC test chips designed to be multiplied among 8 columns in a semi-column parallel current mode APS architecture. The higher accuracy ADC consumes 800 ??t a 5 KHz.
We will present the steps taken to derive the thermally-resilient electronics packaging design of the Mars2020 EECAM detector. We will highlight analyses and empirical test results that lead to a wide-temperature-survivable COTS component packaging design. Details of thermal cycle testing, in-process inspections, and final packaging design will be presented.
- ISS LIS is the flight spare of the original Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) LIS, which was kept in storage since the 1990s. - Modified and then integrated as a hosted payload on DoD Space Test Program-Houston 5 (STP-H5). Launched on SpaceX CRS-10 on February 19, 2017. - LIS measures global lightning (amount, rate, radiant energy) during day and night, with storm-scale resolution, millisecond timing, and high, spatially uniform detection efficiency.

Images of terrain scanned in common by multiple Earth-orbiting remote sensors registered automatically with each other and, where possible, on geographic coordinate grid. Simulated image of terrain viewed by sensor computed from ancillary data, viewing geometry, and mathematical model of physics of imaging. In proposed registration algorithm, simulated and actual sensor images matched by area-correlation technique.
Proposed subsystem of small auxiliary imaging sensors yields additional data on motion of linear imaging sensor scanned across scene perpendicular to its length. Sensors yield data on components of motion to which inertial, radar, and air-speed detectors insensitive. Additional data on motion enhances geometric fidelity.
This paper summarizes the results of several studies conducted at Langley Research Center over the past few years. The purposes of these studies were to investigate parameters of pictorial displays and imaging sensors that affect pilot approach and landing performance. Pictorial displays have demonstrated exceptional tracking performance and improved the pilots' spatial awareness. Stereopsis cueing improved pilot flight performance and reduced pilot stress. Sensor image parameters such as increased field-of-view. faster image update rate, and aiding symbology improved flare initiation. Finer image resolution and magnification improved attitude control performance parameters.
