Space tug thermal control equipment thermal requirements, characteristics, and constraints catalogue: Users guide

This manual details the input instructions to the data bank, and explanation of the program and its output. The data bank was developed in satisfaction of two of the study tasks, the equipment thermal requirement catalog and the equipment characteristics and constraints catalog. The data bank contains 109 components within space tug avionics system. Other systems were not included in the data bank due to the available information, however, with some program modification, other systems could be incorporated into the data bank program. The data bank was developed and checked out and is compatible with the Univac 1108, and the CDC 6500 operating systems. The data contained in the data bank is general in content with emphasis on the component thermal design. The data is applicable to any spacecraft program where the components contained in the data bank can be applied in satisfaction of the system and subsystem requirements.

Apollo-11 lunar sample information catalogue

The Apollo 11 mission is reviewed with emphasis on the collection of lunar samples, their geologic setting, early processing, and preliminary examination. The experience gained during five subsequent missions was applied to obtain physical-chemical data for each sample using photographic and binocular microscope techniques. Topics discussed include: binocular examination procedure; breccia clast dexrriptuons, thin section examinations procedure typical breccia in thin section, typical basalt in thin section, sample histories, and chemical and age data. An index to photographs is included.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the Perth 70: A catalogue of positions of 24900 stars tape B, mean values of the observation

The Perth 70 catalog contains accurate positions of 24978 stars, plus other useful data such as approximate proper motions, radial velocities, and parallaxes. The Perth 70 is a result of meridian circle observations made by the Hamburg observatory expedition to Perth as part of the international effort of Southern References Stars (SRS). Tape B, which contains mean values of the observations and corresponds to the printed catalog is described.

Catalogue of eclipses of Jupiter's Galilean satellites, 1610-2000

A catalog of eclipses of the Galilean satellites by Jupiter is presented; the predicted times of all eclipses are computed in the interval from 1610 to 2000. The calculations are based on a modern ephemeris and should be useful for interpreting and analyzing older observations.

Data announcement bulletin: The Ariel V SSI 3A X-ray Catalogue

The catalog covers the galactic plane in low latitudes (b2 10) and high galactic X-ray sources. It is based on the complete 5 1/2 year data base of the sky survey instrument on the Ariel 5 satellite. Source identifications, error boxes and fluxes are included. The low latitude portion contains 109 X-ray sources. The high latitude revision contains 142 sources.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the lick Saturn-Voyager Reference Star Catalogue

The machine-readable version of the catalog is described. The catalog was prepared in order to determine accurate equatorial coordinates for reference stars in a band of sky against which cameras of the Voyager spacecraft were aligned for observations in the region of Saturn during the flyby. Tape contents and characteristics are described and a sample listing presented.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of a catalogue of homogeneous photometry of bright stars on the DDO system

The magnetic tape version of the Catalog of Homogeneous Photometry of Bright Stars on the DDO System is described. The catalog represents a compilation of DDO photometry of 2196 bright G and K stars prepared from observations made at Kitt Peak National and Cerro Tololo Inter-American observatories. Stars representative of good velocities, spectral types, and freedom from companion contamination are presented.

Documentation for the machine-readable AGK3-BD and BD-AGK3 cross-index catalogues

The machine-readable cross identification catalogs were prepared by extracting AGK3 and BD numbers from the magnetic tape version of the AGK3 Catalog. After preparation of the AGK3-BD file, which contains all stars in the AGK3 catalog, the file was sorted according to BD number and rearranged so that the BD number occurs at the beginning of each record. During the sorting operation, all AGK3 stars having no BD numbers were omitted. The BD-AGK3 file is especially useful for finding BD stars in the AGK3 catalog, since precession has moved stars across declination boundaries and it often was necessary to examine more than one AGK3 zone to locate a BD star in the catalog. The contents of the cross index files is described so that users can read and process the tape without problems, guesswork, or consulting the parent catalog.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the catalogue of individual UBV and UVBY beta observations in the region of the Orion OB1 association

The machine-readable files of individual UBV observations of 106 stars in the vicinity of the Orion Nebula (the Sword region) and individual uvby beta observations of 508 stars in all regions of the Orion OB 1 association are described. For the UBV data the stars are identified by their Brun numbers, with cross identifications to the chart numbers used in Warren and Hesser; the uv by beta stars are identified by the aforementioned chart numbers and HD, BD or P ( = pi); numbers in that order of preference.

NASA catalogue of lunar nomenclature

Lunar nomenclature is cataloged. It includes letter designations for subsidiary craters, and uses a more familiar spelling from eight names. The listed features are divided into three main groups for cataloging purposes, namely: (1) craters, (2) noncrater features; and (3) minor and miscellaneous features.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the Uppsala general catalogue of galaxies

The machine-readable version of the catalog containing descriptions of galaxies, their surrounding areas, and position angles for flattened galaxies is described. In addition to the correction of several errors discovered in a previous computerized version, a few duplicate records were removed and the record structure was revised slightly to accommodate a large data value and to remove superfluous blanks.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the revised Catalogue of Stellar Rotational Velocities of Uesugi and Fukuda (1982)

The machine-readable catalog provides mean data on the old Slettebak system for 6472 stars. The catalog results from the review, analysis and transformation of 11460 data from 102 sources. Star identification, (major catalog number, name if the star has one, or cluster identification, etc.), a man projected rotational velocity, and a list of source references re included. The references are given in a second file included with the catalog when it is distributed on magnetic tape. The contents and/formats of the the data and reference files of the machine-readable catalog are described to enable users to read and process the data.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of a supplement to the Bright Star catalogue (Hoffleit, Saladyga and Wlasuk 1983)

Detailed descriptions of the three files of the machine-readable catalog are given. The files of the original tape have been restructured and the data records reformatted to produce a uniform data file having a single logical record per star and homogeneous data fields. The characteristics of the tape version as it is presently being distributed from the Astronomical Data Center are given and the changes to the original tape supplied are described.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory Star catalogue (SAO) version 1984

An updated, corrected and extended machine readable version of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory star catalog (SAO) is described. Published and unpublished errors discovered in the previous version have been corrected, and multiple star and supplemental BD identifications added to stars where more than one SAO entry has the same Durchmusterung number. Henry Draper Extension (HDE) numbers have been added for stars found in both volumes of the extension. Data for duplicate SAO entries (those referring to the same star) have been blanked out, but the records themselves have been retained and flagged so that sequencing and record count are identical to the published catalog.

Documentation for the machine-readable version of the general catalogue of 33342 stars for the epoch 1950 (Boss 1937)

A revised and corrected version of the machine-readable catalog has been prepared. Cross identifications of the GC stars to the HD and DM catalogs have been replaced by data from the new SAO-HD-GC-DM Cross Index (Roman, Warren and Schofield 1983), including component identifications for multiple SAO entries having identical DM numbers in the SAO Catalog, supplemental Bonner Durchmusterung stars (lower case letter designations) and codes for multiple HD stars. Additional individual corrections have been incorporated based upon errors found during analyses of other catalogs.
