Balrog

Abstract

SAND2022-12602 O Balrog uses mathematical methods to calculate spectral line shapes in high-energy-density plasmas. Line shapes are a result of atomic perturbations by their surrounding plasmas, and this model captures much of the physics and generates model spectrum that can be used in data analysis and as an input for other models. Sandia National Laboratories is a multimission laboratory managed and operated by National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell International Inc., for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration under contract DE-NA0003525.
