FLPR: The Fortran Language Program Remodeling system
Abstract
The Fortran Language Program Remodeling system (FLPR) is a C++ library designed to manipulate Fortran language source code files. A client can use FLPR to rapidly develop utilities that perform application-specific source code transformations. Examples of transformations are varied, ranging from simple tasks such as reformatting source code, to complex transformations that implement application-specific extensions to the Fortran language. Two unique features of FLPR are that it allows the client to extend the language that it recognizes, and that it allows the client to manipulate all of the text in a source code file, including formatting and comments.
