Hod Carrier

Abstract

SAND2023-06720O Hod Carrier is a simple proof-of-concept library for moving data from host to NVIDIA BlueField device memory using remote direct memory access. The Hod Carrier software also facilitates research activities related to the potential uses of NVIDIA BlueField data processing unit devices. Using well-established technologies (e.g., RDMA over Infiniband), it will move data from the host to the data processing unit’s memory. This software is a middleware utility for moving data without regard to its semantic meaning. Its operation is fundamentally unaffected by storage allocation. SANDWake3D

SAND2026-23958O SANDWake3D models atmospheric surface layers and turbine wakes using a 3D parabolic RANS solver. This Python-based tool uses an efficient method to simulate wakes, capturing complex wake behaviors such as wind shear, veer, and atmospheric stratification, naturally. It has been calibrated and validated against higher-fidelity large eddy simulations (LES), providing reliable results for wind energy and atmospheric research applications. Goated: goal-oriented tensor decompositions in python

SAND2026-20464O Goated performs goal-oriented tensor decompositions in Python, enabling efficient compression of multi-dimensional simulation data. It extends common tensor decomposition methods by incorporating domain-specific knowledge, such as conservation laws in physics, through a penalty term in the optimization process. This approach improves data compression and modeling accuracy across various applications, including physics simulations, by using specialized algorithms and structure-aware subroutines to accelerate solver performance. NN-OpInf

SAND2026-18878O The NN-OpInf tool is a PyTorch-based approach to operator inference that uses composable, structure-preserving neural networks to represent nonlinear operators. Operator inference is a machine learning method for inferring low-dimensional systems from data and polynomial models for system dynamics. However, many systems do not conform to polynomial structures, which NN-OpInf addresses by parameterizing operators with neural networks.
