Autoencoding is All You Need (for MSTd)
Abstract
We explore various neural network task and architectural constraints to find the minimal set that produces network activity similar to that found in primate MSTd. MSTd is a brain region in the dorsal visual pathway associated with self motion estimation from visual motion (i.e. optic flow).
