Understanding the fast kinetics and mechanism of sodium storage in antimony using ab initio grand canonical Monte Carlo simulation and operando X-ray scattering
Abstract
Using ai-GCMC simulations, operandoWAXS, and kinetics analysis, we found that the high-rate performance of Sb as an alloy anode in Na-ion batteries is due to the presence of an amorphous intermediate phase formed during sodiation and desodiation.
