MAGIS-100 External Moving Mass Detection
Abstract
MAGIS-100 is a quantum sensor at Fermilab that drops ultra-cold atoms down a 100m shaft to detect gravitational waves, ultralight dark matter, and explore quantum mechanics. Passing vehicles around the area can interfere with measurements. A detection system could estimate disturbances, but MAGIS-100 may be more sensitive than previously thought.
