LAACI – Light Absorbing Aerosol-Cloud Interactions Experiment
Abstract
The “Light Absorbing Aerosol-Cloud Interactions Experiment” project aimed at studying the interactions of light-absorbing aerosols from biomass burning (e.g., wildfires or prescribed fires) with clouds. The core of the project was carried out at the Michigan Technological University turbulent cloud chamber facility (hereafter referred to as the Pi-Chamber). Light-absorbing aerosols from biomass burning include black carbon (BC) and brown carbon (BrC) organic material.
