Processible Polymeric Sorbents for Direct Air Capture
Abstract
To cope with legacy greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, the U.S. Department of Energy is funding efforts to develop Direct Air Capture (DAC), a method for removing CO2 directly from air. A processible polymeric amine functionalized sorbent has been developed at NETL that shows high uptake, stability over multiple adsorption and desorption cycles and a simple, scalable synthesis.
