Materials Data on TlZn3 by Materials Project
Abstract
Zn3Tl is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zn is bonded to eight equivalent Zn and four equivalent Tl atoms to form ZnTl4Zn8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent ZnTl4Zn8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent TlZn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent ZnTl4Zn8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent TlZn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent ZnTl4Zn8 cuboctahedra. All Zn–Zn bond lengths are 3.05 Å. All Zn–Tl bond lengths are 3.05 Å. Tl is bonded to twelve equivalent Zn atoms to form TlZn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent TlZn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent ZnTl4Zn8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent TlZn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent ZnTl4Zn8 cuboctahedra.
