Materials Data on Ce3Ti by Materials Project
Abstract
Ce3Ti is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce is bonded to eight equivalent Ce and four equivalent Ti atoms to form distorted CeCe8Ti4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent CeCe8Ti4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent TiCe12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent CeCe8Ti4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent TiCe12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent CeCe8Ti4 cuboctahedra. All Ce–Ce bond lengths are 3.28 Å. All Ce–Ti bond lengths are 3.28 Å. Ti is bonded to twelve equivalent Ce atoms to form TiCe12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent TiCe12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent CeCe8Ti4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent TiCe12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent CeCe8Ti4 cuboctahedra.
