Materials Data on CeAgP2 by Materials Project
Abstract
CeAgP2 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce3+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven P2- atoms. There are a spread of Ce–P bond distances ranging from 2.81–3.06 Å. Ag1+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to one Ag1+ and five P2- atoms. The Ag–Ag bond length is 2.90 Å. There are a spread of Ag–P bond distances ranging from 2.59–2.96 Å. There are two inequivalent P2- sites. In the first P2- site, P2- is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ce3+, two equivalent Ag1+, and two P2- atoms. There are one shorter (2.22 Å) and one longer (2.66 Å) P–P bond lengths. In the second P2- site, P2- is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ce3+, three equivalent Ag1+, and one P2- atom.
