Fiber Optic Reference Frequency Distribution to Remote Beam Waveguide Antennas

Abstract

DSN radio science experiments and VLBI require ultra-stable, low-noise reference frequency signals. Because of their low attenuation, immunity to EMI/RFI, and temperature stability, fiber optic distribution links are replacing coaxial cables.
