Nozzle/Diffuser For Test Section Of Wind Tunnel
Abstract
Nozzle-diffuser improves distribution of flow in test section and increases recovery of pressure in first diffuser. Has rectangular or circular cross section like contraction duct just upstream of test section and is, in effect, extension of contraction duct. Because flow returning to fan at higher pressure, less fan power needed to maintain same rate of flow.
