Intensity-Modulated Fiber-Optic Tachometer
Abstract
Proposed optoelectronic tachometer determines speed of rotation of shaft by measuring fluctuations in intensity of light reflected from notches on shaft. Dual fiber-optic sensor imparts insensitivity to displacements of shaft.
