Computational Fluid Dynamics Now And In The Future
Abstract
Technical memorandum reviews state of art of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and predicts future developments and applications. Memorandum notes CFD enables study of physics of flows not previously understood. Applied routinely to complicated flows and influencing design of aerospace vehicles. Also used to design experiments; helps in placing surface and field probes, correcting measurements for laboratory-induced effects, extrapolating experimental results, and interpreting measurements.
