Mars Observer - Mission
Abstract
The Mars Observer program, which is expected to be launched from the Space Shuttle in 1992, is reviewed. The mission program and plan are discussed, including data acquisition, data return, and mapping. The spacecraft and launch configurations are presented and illustrated.
