Pulsations and oscillations

Abstract

The observations of the oscillations of the solar atmosphere are a powerful diagnostic tool for research into the structure of the atmosphere from inside the convection zone to the upper chromosphere. Interpretations of the global pulsations or oscillations are presented with emphasis on using these observations to study the structure of the interior of the Sun.
