Reflectance spectra for 277 asteroids

Abstract

Visible and near-infrared reflectance spectra are presented for 277 asteroids. These represent the results of an 8-yr program and constitute all spectra available in 1979. There are approximately 80 recognizably different spectral types among the asteroids surveyed. Relatively few of these can be explained as mixtures of C- and S-type materials on individual asteroids, although Eos family members may be an exception.
