Greases
Abstract
The characteristics and applications of greases are discussed. The basic components of greases are analyzed to show the types of additives used and the basis for grease classification. Manufacturing methods for soap base and nonsoap base greases are described. The tests which are conducted to determine the properties of greases are reported.
