The Space Shuttle test program.

Abstract

Development, qualification, acceptance, horizontal-flight, and vertical-flight tests of the Space Shuttle are described in keeping with the schedule in which they are to be carried out prior to the Orbiter system becoming operational. Test goals, required facilities, and procedures to be employed are outlined, and tables list specific subsystems of the Orbiter, solid rocket motor, and drop tank elements to be checked out in the flight tests.
