Two dimensional digital computer

Abstract

The development of a two dimensional data processing system is reported that extracts data from optical images by performing multiple logical operations simultaneously. A two dimensional logical circuits is described that contains a liquid crystal negation element and an OR-ing element. The negation element performs 20,000 negations simultaneously, and the OR does 20,000 OR operations simultaneously.
