Back-to-back dijet production in DIS at arbitrary Bjorken x: TMD gluon distributions to twist-3 accuracy

We derive the gluon transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) operator structure of back-to-back\\\\r\\\\nquark–antiquark dijet production in deep inelastic scattering at arbitrary Bjorken-x to twist-3 ac\\\\r\\\\ncuracy. Working at leading order in the strong coupling and in the kinematic regime where the\\\\r\\\\ntransverse momentum imbalance of the jets is much smaller than their individual transverse mo\\\\r\\\\nmenta, we perform a systematic gradient expansion of the quark propagator in a background gluon\\\\r\\\\nfield. This expansion organizes multiple interactions with the target in terms of longitudinal Wilson\\\\r\\\\nlines and gauge-invariant field-strength insertions, yielding a TMD description valid beyond the\\\\r\\\\nstrict high-energy eikonal (x → 0) approximation. We obtain explicit cross sections for longitudi\\\\r\\\\nnally and transversely polarized virtual photons, identifying all contributing gluon TMD operators\\\\r\\\\nup to twist-3, including structures involving F+−, Fij, and three-gluon correlators. The full lon\\\\r\\\\ngitudinal phase eixP+z− associated with Bjorken-x is retained throughout. In the small-x limit,\\\\r\\\\nour results reproduce the known sub-eikonal expressions obtained in the Color Glass Condensate\\\\r\\\\nframework, establishing a direct connection between the general-x TMD expansion and high-energy\\\\r\\\\nfactorization. We further reduce the operator basis using equations of motion, minimizing the num\\\\r\\\\nber of independent nonperturbative matrix elements entering the cross section. This work provides\\\\r\\\\na systematic foundation for extending TMD analyses of dijet production beyond leading twist, es\\\\r\\\\ntablishing a unified operator framework valid at arbitrary Bjorken-x that smoothly interpolates\\\\r\\\\nbetween moderate- and small-x descriptions of gluon TMDs.

Systematic Study of the Self-Renormalized Nucleon Gluon PDF in Large-Momentum Effective Theory

We present a systematic study of the nucleon gluon parton distribution function (PDF) using the self-renormalized large-momentum effective theory (LaMET) approach in lattice QCD. This work extends previous gluon-PDF extractions by performing a detailed analysis of key systematic effects, including gauge-link smearing, lattice spacing, pion mass, and nucleon boost momentum. The self-renormalization framework mitigates ultraviolet divergences associated with Wilson-line self-energy and renormalon contributions by combining lattice matrix elements with perturbative short-distance information, thereby preserving the correct infrared structure. Calculations are performed on $N_f=2+1+1$ HISQ ensembles generated by the MILC Collaboration at three lattice spacings and two pion masses, with boosted nucleon states reaching momenta up to 2.2~GeV. We determine renormalization factors from zero-momentum matrix elements and apply hybrid renormalization to suppress discretization artifacts. After extrapolating large-separation behavior and performing Fourier transforms, we reconstruct quasi-PDFs and match them to lightcone PDFs using next-to-leading order Wilson coefficients. Our results demonstrate that smearing and lattice-spacing effects are under control, and pion-mass and lattice-spacing dependence is mild relative to the current $O(10^6)$ statistics; however, momentum dependence remains a significant source of uncertainty. Future work including even larger boost momenta will be essential to reduce systematics in lattice determinations of the gluon PDF and to advance toward precision QCD phenomenology at the LHC and the future Electron-Ion Collider.

Hierarchical Cellulose Superinsulation Membrane

The environment-friendly components coupled with the ability to mimic the simplicity and originality of nature necessitate advanced sustainable materials with structural capabilities for energy-efficient applications. The use of feedstock deriving from plant-based, renewable organic material to produce nanofibril that embodies enhanced insulating properties and high mechanical strength constitutes an efficient development strategy. In this work, a free-standing, hierarchical superinsulation membrane by leveraging the principle of the bottom-up method is reported. The electrospun cellulose nanofibrils/aerogel-based core layer provides exceptional thermal properties with its thermal conductivity of 10.2 mW m –1 K –1 . The lightweight, flexible, and durable paper-like membrane features a tensile strength of 11.3 MPa and a bending rigidity in the order of 4.6 cN mm –1 . The hydrophobic superinsulation membrane material also exhibits a ΔT of ≈25 °C under continuous sunlight illumination and allows thermal runaway mitigation of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. All the aforementioned properties position this hybrid superinsulation membrane as a promising material for energy-saving thermal management applications.
