Development of alpha cluster structure in nuclei of the same mass number

The resonant 14 N+α particle scattering was studied in the 18 F excitation region from 6.5 to 9 MeV at Astana cyclotron using the TTIK approach. The excitation functions for the elastic 14 N+α scattering were analyzed in the framework of R-matrix approach. The observed strong alpha cluster structure in 18 F is compared with that in 18 O.

Puzzles of Exotic Decay Processes

The growing interest in the physics of unstable nuclei, along with their manifestations in laboratory experiments and astrophysical observations, highlights the existence of features in decay processes within complex quantum systems that are not yet fully understood. Furthermore, this paper considers examples of such phenomena, including two-step decay processes, resonance effects, threshold peculiarities, and the interactions between bound and continuum states, as well as the related dynamics.

Proton-neutron pairing, quartet condensation and α − transfer in N=Z nuclei

In the past years various studies have shown that the proton-neutron pairing correlations in N=Z nuclei can be accurately described by a condensate of α-like quartets. It was also shown that the α-like quartets, defined as 4- body collective structures built with two neutrons and two protons, are also able to describe the correlations induced by general two-body interactions of shell-model type. In this paper we summarise the studies mentioned above and then we discuss how the fingerprints of the quartet condensation could be investigated by α-transfer reactions.

CoSMo - Shell Model Code

CoSMo is a comprehensive shell model code suite designed for nuclear shell model and configuration interaction calculations. Its highly structured and templated nature allows for flexibility and ease in applications, including those to open quantum systems with non-Hermitian Hamiltonians, clustering, and time-dependent dynamics.
