The H-Modified Process
Construction of the H-Area canyon separation facility was completed in the early 1950's. Processing of irradiated depleted Uranium fuel using the Purex flowsheet began in July 1955. The introduction of enriched uranium fuels into Savannah River reactor operations was to produce a greater variety of products.
