A quadratic-tensor model algorithm for nonlinear least-squares problems with linear constraints
A new algorithm for solving nonlinear least-squares and nonlinear equation problems is proposed which is based on approximating the nonlinear functions using the quadratic-tensor model by Schnabel and Frank. The algorithm uses a trust region defined by a box containing the current values of the unknowns. The algorithm is found to be effective for problems with linear constraints and dense Jacobian matrices.

Library Of Subprograms In FORTRAN 77
MATH77, Release 3.17, is library of 412 FORTRAN 77 subprograms for use in numerical computation. Subprograms providing machine and system characteristic parameters make library operational on any computer system supporting full FORTRAN 77 standard. Algorithm 699 - A new representation of Patterson's quadrature formulae
A method is presented to reduce the number of coefficients necessary to represent Patterson's quadrature formulae. It also reduces the amount of storage necessary for storing function values, and produces slightly smaller error in evaluating the formulae.
