Technology for Earth System Digital Twins
NASA IST Program is now designing and developing Digital Twins of the Earth and/or Earth systems. Earth System Digital Twins (ESDTs) are information systems for understanding, forecasting, and conjecturing the complex interconnections among Earth systems, including anthropomorphic forcings and impacts to humanity. This presentation will address the main technology and architecture challenges that need to be addressed to develop end-to-end ESDTs; along with these challenges, some of the solutions proposed by IST projects will be discussed.
