Each node (agent) has only local, incomplete knowledge and it must make local decisions to meet a predefined global objective. This paper discusses the diameter of sensor networks. In the study, they analysed and found that when the number of transmissions are bounded by constants below or equal to 20, the likelihood of successful broadcast is small.
