Estimates of Small Signal/Noise Ratios

Signal/Noise Ratio Meter measures ratio of signal power to noise power in input that contains both signal and noise. Signal and noise first filtered and normalized in analog circuitry, then digitized and sampled. Performance of SNR meter determined by statistical algorithm chosen for analysis of samples.

Prototype real-time baseband signal combiner

The design and performance of a prototype real-time baseband signal combiner, used to enhance the received Voyager 2 spacecraft signals during the Jupiter flyby, is described. Hardware delay paths, operating programs, and firmware are discussed.
