Next Generation High-Temperature Optical Fibers
To advance the development of geothermal energy sources, research teams at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the University of Colorado/Boulder investigated novel techniques for applying metal coatings to optical fibers, and methods to overcome the quantum noise limits of optical fiber-based acoustic sensors.
