Abstract Usinge + e − annihilation data sets corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.5 fb −1 , collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV, we report the first measurements of the absolute branching fractions$$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0\right) $$ B Λ c + → p K L 0 = (1.67±0.06±0.04)%,$$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\right) $$ B Λ c + → p K L 0 π + π − = (1.69±0.10±0.05)%, and$$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0{\pi}^0\right) $$ B Λ c + → p K L 0 π 0 = (2.02±0.13±0.05)%, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Combining with the known branching fractions of$$ {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0 $$ Λ c + → p K S 0 ,$$ {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-} $$ Λ c + → p K S 0 π + π − , and$$ {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0{\pi}^0 $$ Λ c + → p K S 0 π 0 , we present the first measurements of the$$ {K}_S^0 $$ K S 0 -$$ {K}_L^0 $$ K L 0 asymmetries$$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},{K}_{S,L}^0X\right)=\frac{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_S^0X\right)-\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_L^0X\right)}{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_S^0X\right)+\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_L^0X\right)} $$ R Λ c + K S , L 0 X = B Λ c + → K S 0 X − B Λ c + → K L 0 X B Λ c + → K S 0 X + B Λ c + → K L 0 X in charmed baryon decays:$$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0\right)=-0.025\pm 0.031 $$ R Λ c + p K S , L 0 = − 0.025 ± 0.031 ,$$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\right)=-0.027\pm 0.048 $$ R Λ c + p K S , L 0 π + π − = − 0.027 ± 0.048 and$$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0{\pi}^0\right)=-0.015\pm 0.046 $$ R Λ c + p K S , L 0 π 0 = − 0.015 ± 0.046 . Abstract The processesh c → γP(P=η′, η, π 0 ) are studied with a sample of (27.12±0.14)×10 8 ψ(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The decayh c → γηis observed for the first time with the significance of 9.0σ, and the branching fraction is determined to be (3.77±0.55±0.13±0.26)×10 −4 , while$$ \mathcal{B} $$ B (h c → γη′) is measured to be (1.40±0.11±0.04±0.10)×10 −3 , where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic, and the third from the branching fraction ofψ(3686)→ π 0 h c . The combination of these results allows for a precise determination of$$ {R}_{h_c}=\frac{\mathcal{B}\left({h}_c\to {\pi}^0\gamma \eta \right)}{\mathcal{B}\left({h}_c\to {\pi}^0\gamma {\eta}^{\prime}\right)}, $$ R h c = B h c → γη B h c → γ η ′ , which is calculated to be (27.0±4.4±1.0)%. The results are valuable for gaining a deeper understanding ofη − η′ mixing, and its manifestation within quantum chromodynamics. No significant signal is found for the decayh c →γπ 0 , and an upper limit is placed on its branching fraction of$$ \mathcal{B} $$ B (h c →γπ 0 )<5.0×10 −5 , at the 90% confidence level.
Abstract Usinge + e − collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies between 3.510 and 4.914 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 25 fb −1 , we measure the Born cross sections for the process$$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda /{\Sigma}^0 $$ e + e − → K − Ξ ¯ + Λ / Σ 0 at thirty-five energy points with a partial-reconstruction strategy. By fitting the dressed cross sections of$$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda /{\Sigma}^0 $$ e + e − → K − Ξ ¯ + Λ / Σ 0 , evidence for$$ \psi (4160)\to {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda $$ ψ 4160 → K − Ξ ¯ + Λ is found for the first time with a significance of 4.4σ, including systematic uncertainties. No evidence for other possible resonances is found. In addition, the products of electronic partial width and branching fraction for all assumed resonances decaying into$$ {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda /{\Sigma}^0 $$ K − Ξ ¯ + Λ / Σ 0 are determined.
Abstract Using 24.1 fb −1 ofe + e − collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections and effective form factors of the$$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {\Sigma}^{+}{\overline{\Sigma}}^{-} $$ e + e − → Σ + Σ ¯ − reaction are measured. The measurements are performed at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.510 to 4.951 GeV. No significant evidence for the decay of the charmonium(-like) states,ψ(3770),ψ(4040),ψ(4160),Y(4230),Y(4360),ψ(4415), andY(4660), into a$$ {\Sigma}^{+}{\overline{\Sigma}}^{-} $$ Σ + Σ ¯ − final state is observed. Consequently, upper limits for the products of the branching fractions and the electronic partial widths at the 90% confidence level are reported for these decays.
Abstract Using (27.12 ± 0.14) × 10 8 ψ(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy of$$ \sqrt{s} $$ s = 3.686 GeV, we search for the first time for two nonleptonic hyperon decays that change strangeness by two units, Ω − → Σ 0 π − and Ω − →nK − . No significant signal is observed. The upper limits on their decay branching fractions are determined to be$$ \mathcal{B} $$ B (Ω − → Σ 0 π − )<5.4 × 10 −4 and$$ \mathcal{B} $$ B (Ω − →nK − )<2.4 × 10 −4 at the 90% confidence level.
Abstract Usinge + e − collision data collected at the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33 fb −1 , we determine the absolute branching fractions of fifteen hadronic$$ {D}_s^{+} $$ D s + decays with a double-tag technique. In particular, we make precise measurements of the branching fractions$$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}_s^{+}\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right)=\left(5.49\pm 0.04\pm 0.07\right)\% $$ B D s + → K + K − π + = 5.49 ± 0.04 ± 0.07 % ,$$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}_s^{+}\to {K}_S^0{K}^{+}\right)=\left(1.50\pm 0.01\pm 0.01\right)\% $$ B D s + → K S 0 K + = 1.50 ± 0.01 ± 0.01 % and$$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}_s^{+}\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^0\right)=\left(5.50\pm 0.05\pm 0.11\right)\% $$ B D s + → K + K − π + π 0 = 5.50 ± 0.05 ± 0.11 % , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. TheCPasymmetries in these decays are also measured and all are found to be compatible with zero.

Abstract Using (27.12±0.14)×10 8 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, the decay ofψ(3686)→$$ {\varOmega}^{-}{K}^{+}{\overline{\Xi}}^0 $$ Ω − K + Ξ ¯ 0 + c.c.is observed for the first time. The branching fraction of this decay is measured to be$$ {\mathcal{B}}_{\psi (3686)\to {\varOmega}^{-}{K}^{+}{\overline{\Xi}}^0+\textrm{c}.\textrm{c}.} $$ B ψ 3686 → Ω − K + Ξ ¯ 0 + c . c . = (2.78 ± 0.40 ± 0.18) × 10 −6 , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Possible baryon excited states are searched for in this decay, but no evident intermediate state is observed with the current sample size.
The Cabbibo-favored decay Λ c + → Ξ 0 K + π 0 is studied for the first time using 6.1 fb − 1 of e + e − collision data at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.840 GeV, collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. With a double-tag method, the branching fraction of the three-body decay Λ c + → Ξ 0 K + π 0 is measured to be ( 7.79 ± 1.46 ± 0.95 ) × 10 − 3 , where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The branching fraction of the two-body decay Λ c + → Ξ ( 1530 ) 0 K + is ( 5.99 ± 1.04 ± 0.32 ) × 10 − 3 , which is consistent with the previous result of ( 5.02 ± 0.99 ± 0.31 ) × 10 − 3 . In addition, the upper limit on the branching fraction of the doubly Cabbibo-suppressed decay Λ c + → n K + π 0 is 7.1 × 10 − 4 at the 90% confidence level. The upper limits on the branching fractions of Λ c + → Σ 0 K + π 0 and Λ K + π 0 are also determined to be 1.8 × 10 − 3 and 2.0 × 10 − 3 , respectively. We report the A -site spinel NiRh 2 O 4 is the only known realization of a spin-1 diamond lattice magnet and is predicted to host unconventional magnetic phenomena driven by frustrated nearest and next-nearest neighbor exchange as well as orbital degeneracy. Previous works found no sign of magnetic order but found a gapped dispersive magnetic excitation indicating a possible valence bond magnetic ground state. However, the presence of many competing low energy degrees of freedom and limited empirical microscopic constraints complicates further analysis. Here we carry out resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS), x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), and inelastic neutron scattering (INS) to characterize the local electronic structure and lattice dynamics of NiRh 2 O 4 . The RIXS data can be partly described by a single-ion model for tetrahedrally coordinated Ni 2+ and indicates a tetragonal distortion Δt 2 = 70 meV that splits the t 2 orbitals into a high energy orbital singlet and lower energy orbital doublet. We identify features of the RIXS spectra that are consistent with a Rh-Ni two-site excitation indicating strong metal-metal hybridization mediated by oxygen in NiRh 2 O 4 . We also identify signatures of electron-phonon coupling through the appearance of phonon sidebands that dress crystal field excitations. These results establish the key energy scales relevant to the magnetism in NiRh 2 O 4 and further demonstrate that covalency and lattice dynamics play essential roles in controlling the magnetic ground states of A -site spinels.
WarpX is a general purpose electromagnetic particle-in-cell code that was originally designed to run on many-core CPU architectures. We describe the strategy, based on the AMReX library, followed to allow WarpX to use the GPU-accelerated nodes on OLCF’s Summit supercomputer, a strategy we believe will extend to the upcoming machines Frontier and Aurora. We summarize the challenges encountered, lessons learned, and give current performance results on a series of relevant benchmark problems.
