J158 in the schematic shown below is the physical power switch for the UDCM. You will see that we really only care about 3 pins on this physical switch, pins 1,2 and 6. we are going to splice between the switch and the board, meaning we are ‘effectively’ elevating this component to become part of our own module, and then have our module interface with the board. So when I say ‘Pin 1 Switch’ I am literally referring the Switch’s pin 1. Whereas when I say ‘Pin 1 Board’ I am talking about the part of the board that originally would have interfaced with pin 1 on the switch as shown in the lower left corner.
