Understanding Multiscale Defect Formation Process and Phase-Switching Behavior in Shape Memory Functional Oxides
In the last 3 years, we have worked on both the nanoscale and microscale understanding of TMPT, defect formation and evolution, and plasticity in SMFOs, specifically in YSTZ. The validated computational investigations have provided unmatched insights into the deformation and shape memory behaviors of SMFOs that could not be obtained from experiments.
