X-15 research objectives
Paper presents the areas of research interest for the most important and urgent problems at the present time. Indications are given of other types of data that will be obtained, as well as possible additional research uses of the X-15. In the course of conducting the flight research for the X-15, the emphasis will change from one area to another and problems of new and different significance will result. Those problems that are found to be real will be better understood as a result of the flight investigations and those problems that have been imagined will be replaced with unexpected or overlooked problems.
